Option 1, Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the FinePrint app on your phone, tablet, or Mac.
- Tap (or click) the Profile tab.
- Scroll down to the Danger zone section.
- Tap Delete account and data.
- Confirm by tapping Delete in the dialog.
The deletion runs immediately. The app signs you out and returns to a guest state. No further action is required.
Option 2, Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email support@irohtechnologies.com from the address tied to your FinePrint account. Include the subject line “Delete my FinePrint account.” We confirm and complete the deletion within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
The following are permanently removed when you delete your account:
- Your account record (email, display name, account ID)
- Every PDF document you uploaded
- All findings and analyses generated from those documents
- All reminders you set on findings
- Your subscription history and usage counters
- Any single-document passes you purchased that have not yet been used
What is retained, and for how long
For legal, security, and fraud-prevention purposes we may retain a minimal transaction record of any past purchase (App Store / Google Play transaction ID, date, amount) for up to 7 years, as required by tax and accounting law. These records contain no document content and no identifying account fields beyond the store's transaction ID.
Anonymized, aggregated analytics events (counts of “document uploaded,” “finding viewed,” etc.) that cannot be linked back to your account are retained indefinitely as part of our product analytics.
Refunds for active subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically refund or cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the store you subscribed through:
- Apple users, cancel or request a refund at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Android users, cancel or request a refund at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
