FinePrint launches on iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac to help everyday consumers catch hidden fees and deadlines in the contracts they sign
The new AI-powered app reads leases, employment contracts, gym memberships, insurance policies, and more, and turns them into plain-language summaries with the source page cited for every finding.
McLean, Virginia. June 1, 2026.
FinePrint, an AI-powered contract scanner built for everyday consumers, launched today on the App Store and Google Play. The app helps people understand the documents they sign, leases, employment agreements, offer letters, insurance policies, HOA rules, gym memberships, auto leases, and service contracts, without reading them line by line.
Users upload a PDF; FinePrint identifies fees, penalties, deadlines, restrictions, consumer protections, unusual clauses, and money-saving opportunities. Every finding cites the page of the original document, so users can verify the source language and decide what matters.
FinePrint was built by Jitesh Nadimpalli together with his wife Prafulla Bhupathiraju, who led design and user experience. The idea came from a familiar frustration: months of gym-cancellation fees buried in fine print Jitesh hadn't read.
"I had agreed to terms I never actually read. I built a prototype that could read them for me. Then I tested it on my own apartment lease renewal and it caught half a dozen clauses I'd missed, including a notice-to-vacate window that had quietly shortened from 60 days to 30. Friends and family started asking to use it. That's when I realized this wasn't just my problem."
FinePrint is designed for renters, homeowners, employees, students, families, and anyone who deals with dense paperwork. Rather than asking users to read a 40-page document line by line, the app organizes the important details into plain-language findings with page references back to the source.
